The following are reports of criminal and other incidents responded to by the UNC Charlotte campus Police & Public Safety from April 15 through April 21.
Accident
April 18
- Lot 25 – Officer took a report of a hit and run.
April 21
- East Deck Two – While backing, driver of vehicle 1 struck vehicle two. Vehicle two was backing into a parking spot. No injuries were reported.
- Lot 19 – Officer took a report of a hit and run.
- Lot 16 – While turning right to leave the parking lot, driver of vehicle one struck vehicle two. No injuries were reported
- Lot 23 – While backing, driver of vehicle one struck vehicle two. No injuries were reported.
- Cameron Boulevard – Driver of vehicle one struck a vehicle on University City Boulevard. Driver of vehicle one then came onto campus, struck and knocked down a light pole and hit a tree. Driver of vehicle one was arrested by CMPD. No injuries were reported.
Arrest
April 21
- CRI Deck – Subject was arrested for an active warrant.
Assault
April 15
- Memorial Hall – Officers took a report in reference to an individual who had been shot by what appeared to be a bb gun.
Drug Violation
April 19
- Moore Hall – Officer issued a state citation in reference to possession of marijuana.
- Moore Hall – Officer issued a campus appearance ticket in reference to possession of marijuana.
April 21
- CRI Deck – Officer issued a state citation in reference to possession of drug paraphernalia.
- CRI Deck – Officer issued two campus appearance tickets in reference to possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harassing Phone Calls
April 17
- Scott Hall – Officer issued a no contact order, a campus appearance ticket and a trespass order from a residence hall in reference to an individual stating they were receiving harassing phone calls.
April 18
- Rowe Arts – Officer took a report regarding subject receiving harassing phone calls.
Larceny
April 16
- 8925 Alumni Way – Unknown person(s) removed victim’s tools that were left secured in a private area.
- Miltimore Hall – Subject stated that his bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at Miltimore Hall. Subject later called back and stated that he located his bicycle.
April 18
- EPIC building – Subject stated that his bicycle was removed from a bike rack near EPIC without his consent.
Liquor Law Violation
April 21
- Belk Hall – Officer issued a state citation in reference to under aged drinking.
- Belk Hall – Officer issued a campus appearance ticket in reference to under aged drinking.
Information Only
April 20
- Storrs – Subject stated that while stepping off the curb near Storrs, she twisted her ankle. Subject sought medical treatment later that day.
April 21

Via telephone – Victim stated that they received multiple disturbing text messages from an unknown person.
Vandalism
April 15
- Lot 25A – Unknown person(s) slashed tires on the victim’s vehicle.
April 16
- Lot 21 – Unknown person keyed victim’s vehicle that was left secured in a public area.
Weapons Violation
April 19
- Hunt Hall – Officer issued a campus appearance ticket in reference to a pair of nunchucks found in a residence hall.
