The UNC Charlotte Student Government Association (SGA) had their weekly legislative meeting March 3.
Approved Grants
A financial bill supporting student organizations has been approved. Various student organizations received a total of $9,339.39 in grant money.
The Freshman Input Week Resolution
A resolution to form a Freshman Input Week was presented to the senate. If passed, Freshman At-Large Senators would host a week of events to inform freshman about SGA. The bill was referred back to Internal Affairs.
The Election Board
The Senate approved Madison Wexler, Ugo DuruIheoma, Spencer Kwolyk, Adriana Hernandez, Grant Parker, Alyssa Jones, Evan Philips, and Ngozi Bridget Ogburu-Ogbonnaya as the Elections board for the 2016-17 academic year.
Nominations
Nominations were opened up for Academic Affairs Chair and Pro Tempore. Those holding the positions previously had to step down for personal reasons.
